  • The Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of hands-on tasks to keep facilities safe, functional, and presentable.

This role focuses on basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair, and general maintenance, as well as routine cleaning and janitorial duties. You handle common household and office repairs, minor renovations, and furniture and equipment assembly while responding promptly to maintenance requests and supporting overall facility operations.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair, and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

+ Handle common household and office repairs, including fixtures, doors, cabinets, appliances, and minor renovations.

+ Complete janitorial tasks such as clearing clogged toilets and sinks, performing paint touch-ups, and assisting with equipment and furniture installation and assembly.

+ Carry out general maintenance and repair activities, including tightening hardware and patching minor wall damage.

+ Unclog drains and troubleshoot simple plumbing issues, coordinating with vendors when additional repairs are required.

+ Replace light bulbs and basic electrical components as needed, performing only non-licensed electrical work.

+ Support cleaning and facility upkeep by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.

+ Keep facility grounds, storage areas, and workspaces tidy, organized, and free of debris.

+ Assemble, install, and arrange office furniture and equipment according to specifications.

+ Move pallets, materials, and office items using pallet jacks or other approved equipment in a safe manner.

+ Assist with facility setup for events, meetings, and special projects, ensuring spaces are prepared and functional.

+ Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, documenting completed tasks accurately.

+ Observe all safety procedures, report potential hazards, and notify appropriate personnel of needed repairs.

+ Lift and move items up to 50 pounds and use equipment to safely handle heavier loads as required.

+ Work independently to identify issues, propose solutions, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, custodial maintenance, or a similar hands-on role.

+ Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures, including general repair, preventive maintenance, and service tasks.

+ Ability to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair, and general maintenance work.

+ Experience with common household and office repairs such as fixtures, doors, cabinets, appliances, and minor renovations.

+ Willingness to perform janitorial and cleaning duties, including clogged toilet and sink clearing, paint touch-ups, and general housekeeping tasks.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely move heavier items using appropriate equipment.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks.

+ Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented approach to daily work and documentation.

+ Comfort working in warehouse, office, and outdoor environments depending on task requirements.

+ Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing protective equipment when required.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + 3-4 years of cleaning or janitorial experience, with recent experience preferred (no more than one year removed).

+ Background in electrical repair and basic non-licensed electrical work.

+ Experience with preventive maintenance and general service work in a facility setting.

+ Hands-on experience with janitorial duties, cleaning, and housekeeping in commercial or office environments.

+ Ability to assemble, install, and arrange office furniture and equipment.

+ Experience using pallet jacks or similar equipment to move pallets, materials, and office items.

+ Ability to support operational needs such as event and meeting setup, and special project assistance.

+ Strong organizational skills to maintain tidy grounds, storage areas, and workspaces.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.

00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
