Self Storage Maintenance and Evening Facility Attendant Sentry Storage Solutions - 5.0 Chula Vista, CA Job Details Part-time $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Computer operation Spanish Outdoor work experience Groundskeeping High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Sentry Storage Solutions is looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our team in a position that combines facility maintenance, cleaning, security, and evening customer-facing responsibilities . This is a good fit for someone who takes pride in keeping a property clean, safe, and well-maintained, can work independently without needing every task spelled out, and is comfortable switching between hands-on maintenance work and evening facility duties. Schedule The schedule for this position is fixed and is not negotiable :
    Tuesday:
    6:00 AM-2:30 PM
      Friday:
      5:30 PM-9:30 PM
        Saturday:
        1:00 PM-9:30 PM There is a 30-minute unpaid meal period on Tuesday and Saturday. This equals 21 scheduled hours per week / 20 paid hours per week . The Friday and Saturday evening shifts are a required part of the position. Additional hours may occasionally be available when coverage is needed. Maintenance & Facility Responsibilities Maintenance duties are primarily performed on Tuesday and Saturday afternoon and include:
        • Inspecting storage units, doors, gates, lighting, equipment, and common areas for maintenance or safety issues
        • Repairing and maintaining doors, roll-up doors, locks, walls, fencing, roofing, and other building components
        • Cleaning and maintaining grounds and common areas
        • Sweeping, removing debris, and keeping the property neat and presentable
        • Painting, patching, and performing light carpentry and plumbing repairs
        • Performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting of facility equipment
        • Assisting with light construction, repairs, and renovation projects
        • Keeping tools and supplies organized and properly stocked
        • Responding to maintenance needs and urgent facility issues
        • Reporting problems that require additional assistance or specialized work Evening Facility Responsibilities Friday evening and the Saturday evening portion of the shift focus on facility monitoring, security, cleanliness, and customer interaction .
        Responsibilities include:
        • Maintaining a visible presence throughout the property after office hours
        • Monitoring the facility and ensuring customers leave by the designated access time
        • Walking the property and watching for unusual activity, safety concerns, maintenance issues, or other problems
        • Keeping the office and common areas clean and orderly
        • Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, sweeping, and general cleanup
        • Tidying areas after customers have left
        • Greeting customers politely and professionally
        • Directing account and customer-service questions to the office staff
        • Reporting tenant behavior, unusual activity, or concerns to the office lead
        • Helping maintain a clean, secure, and welcoming facility What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is:
        • Dependable and consistently on time
        • Comfortable working independently
        • Hands-on and capable of figuring out how to address routine maintenance issues
        • Able to notice what needs to be done without constant direction
        • Comfortable asking for help when a job requires additional expertise
        • Organized and attentive to detail
        • Able to manage time and prioritize tasks
        • Comfortable interacting professionally with customers
        • Willing to work both indoors and outdoors
        • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
        • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
        • Able to use a phone or basic computer functions for work-related communication and updates Qualifications
        • Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, property maintenance, construction, or a similar role preferred
        • Experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs
        • Previous customer service, custodial, or security experience is a plus
        • Valid driver's license
        • High school diploma or equivalent preferred Compensation $21.
        00 per hour 20 paid hours per week based on the regular schedule, with occasional additional hours available when needed. PTO and other company-paid benefits are provided according to company policy. Employment begins with a 30-day introductory period , during which both the employee and Sentry Storage Solutions can determine whether the position is a good fit.
