Job Purpose:
Oakhurst Country Club is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the routine maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and overall upkeep of Club facilities. This position is responsible for performing day-to-day repairs, conducting facility inspections, addressing maintenance requests, and helping ensure the property remains safe, functional, clean, and well-presented for members, guests, and employees. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in general building maintenance, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands when specialized or regulated work should be referred to qualified professionals.
Essential Functions:
Conduct routine property and facility inspections to proactively identify maintenance, repair, and safety needs. Perform general building repairs, including doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, trim, drywall, hardware, furniture, and fixtures. Complete painting, patching, caulking, touch-ups, and other general finish work. Replace light bulbs, fixtures, switches, batteries, filters, and other routine maintenance components. Troubleshoot basic lighting, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues within the appropriate scope of the position. Perform minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, fixtures, and small leaks. Maintain doors, locks, access hardware, and coordinate key duplication as needed. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and routine facility checks. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Club departments and prioritize work based on safety, urgency, and operational impact. Maintain an organized inventory of tools, maintenance supplies, replacement parts, bulbs, filters, paint, hardware, and other materials. Track outstanding maintenance items and communicate repair status and follow-up needs to management. Identify repairs requiring specialized, licensed, or regulated contractors and escalate those needs to management. Assist with contractor access, scheduling, and coordination when necessary. Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance, workshop, and storage areas. Safely operate trucks, tools, and motorized equipment as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in golf course, grounds, landscape construction, and maintenance operations. Demonstrated ability to safely operate trucks, hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment. General knowledge and practical experience with building maintenance, including basic carpentry, plumbing, lighting, painting, hardware, and preventative maintenance. Ability to identify routine maintenance issues and determine when work should be referred to a qualified or licensed professional. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple maintenance requests, and communicate effectively with management and Club departments.
