Rob's Odd Jobs Rob's Odd Jobs is looking for a reliable, experienced Part-Time Handyman to join our growing team. We are a busy handyman and home repair company looking for someone who can confidently handle a variety of residential repairs and maintenance projects while providing excellent customer service. This is a hands-on position for someone who already has general handyman, construction, maintenance, or remodeling experience. We are looking for someone who can assess a task, troubleshoot problems, communicate clearly, and work independently without needing constant supervision.
Responsibilities Typical projects may include:
General home repairs and maintenance Minor carpentry and wood repairs Door, trim, fence and gate repairs Drywall patching and minor paint touch-ups Installing shelving, blinds, curtain rods, mirrors and hardware Caulking, weatherstripping and exterior sealing Furniture and fixture assembly Minor plumbing and electrical work within your experience and qualifications Troubleshooting residential repair issues Picking up materials when necessary Taking before-and-after photos and documenting completed work Maintaining a clean and organized work area Communicating professionally with customers and office staff Working independently or alongside another technician depending on the project Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has previous handyman, construction, maintenance, remodeling, or similar trade experience Has a broad knowledge of residential repairs Is comfortable working independently and problem-solving in the field Takes pride in producing quality work Is dependable, punctual and prepared for scheduled jobs Communicates professionally with customers and coworkers Has reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Has basic tools necessary for handyman work Is comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, timekeeping, job notes and photos Can safely lift and move tools, materials and household items as required Understands the importance of keeping customers' homes clean and treating their property with respect Schedule This is a part-time position with hours based on workload and availability. The schedule may vary from week to week. We are especially interested in someone who has some flexibility and is looking for consistent part-time work as our schedule grows. What We're Looking For We are a small company, so reliability and communication are extremely important. We need someone who shows up when scheduled, reviews the job information beforehand, arrives prepared, and communicates if there is a problem. Our technicians work directly with homeowners, so professionalism and customer service are just as important as technical ability. We're looking for someone who wants to become a dependable member of the Rob's Odd Jobs team—not someone simply looking to pick up an occasional side job.
