Property Maintenance Technician

About the
Role Schedule:
Saturday - Wednesday (Weekends required) or Wednesday - Saturday We are a growing short-term rental property management company looking for a skilled, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality, safety, and appearance of our rental properties. You will serve as our front-line handyman, keeping each property guest-ready and in excellent condition year-round. Key Responsibilities General Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine and as-needed repairs across a portfolio of short-term rental properties Respond promptly to maintenance requests and assess issues on-site Conduct regular property walkthroughs to identify and address maintenance needs proactively Coordinate with the property management team to prioritize and schedule work orders Painting Touch-up and full-room interior painting between guest stays Prepare surfaces including cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting Match existing paint colors and finishes for seamless repairs Apply paint to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other surfaces as needed Tile & Grout Re-grout bathroom and kitchen tile areas Replace cracked, chipped, or damaged tiles Apply caulk and sealant around tubs, showers, and sinks Clean and restore grout lines to maintain a fresh, clean appearance Light Electrical Replace light fixtures, ceiling fans, outlets, and switches Install and swap out light bulbs, including smart bulbs and specialty fixtures Reset tripped breakers and troubleshoot basic electrical issues Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes; escalate complex issues to licensed electricians as required Light Plumbing Fix leaky faucets, running toilets, and slow drains Replace faucets, showerheads, toilet flappers, and supply lines Address minor pipe leaks and water pressure issues Install or replace under-sink plumbing fixtures Escalate complex plumbing issues to a licensed plumber when necessary General Handyman Tasks Assemble and install furniture, shelving, and appliances Repair or replace cabinet hardware, door handles, hinges, and locks Patch drywall holes and perform minor structural repairs Address wear-and-tear items between guest stays to maintain property standards Assist with seasonal property preparation and post-stay inspections Qualifications Required 2+ years of experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related trade Demonstrated skill in painting, tile/grout work, light electrical, and light plumbing Ability to work independently and manage a schedule across multiple property locations Strong attention to detail with a high standard for cleanliness and quality Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Basic tool kit and working knowledge of standard hand and power tools Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with the management team
Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
