Job Description
The On-Site Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day maintenance support at a client facility. This role focuses on general repairs, patch and paint work, basic construction and assembly tasks, and hands-on assistance to keep the site safe, functional, and presentable. The technician serves as a reliable on-site resource, responding to routine maintenance needs and supporting site operations as required. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including: Drywall patching and painting Carpentry and building/assembly projects Basic plumbing repairs (fixtures, leaks, adjustments) Maintain facility appearance by repairing walls, doors, trim, flooring, and other building finishes Assemble, install, and repair site fixtures, furniture, shelving, signage, and equipment Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Assist site personnel with miscellaneous tasks and operational support as needed Conduct routine site walk-throughs to identify maintenance issues before they escalate Coordinate with supervisors and external vendors when work exceeds on-site capabilities Follow all safety protocols, site rules, and company policies Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools and materials Document completed work and report outstanding issues to management Event set up and tear down Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field preferred Strong working knowledge of: Patch and paint Basic carpentry and building tasks General facility maintenance best practices Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and time-management skills Good communication and customer-service skills when interacting with site staff Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing ladders) Preferred Qualifications Experience working in commercial or industrial facilities Familiarity with work order systems or facilities management software OSHA 10 or similar safety training Work Environment On-site at an active commercial or industrial facility May require occasional after-hours or weekend work based on site needs
