Job Summary The Maintenance Facility Technician is responsible for performing general building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep at assigned facilities. This position is ideal for an experienced handyman or maintenance professional who can complete a variety of repair tasks, respond to work orders, and help maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment. The technician will work independently, manage daily assignments, and provide excellent service while following company safety standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility.
  • Complete basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and unclogging drains.
  • Perform basic electrical work including replacing light fixtures, bulbs, switches, and outlets.
  • Complete minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and ceiling tile repairs.
  • Perform door, lock, hardware, and other building repairs as needed.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
  • Utilize company technology to receive, document, and complete work orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and service activities.
  • Communicate maintenance needs, project updates, and repair status to supervisors and facility management.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with facility projects, furniture moves, and other general maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and vendors to support facility operations. ## Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of general maintenance, handyman, facilities, property maintenance, or building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, and general building repairs.
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and basic computer applications for work order management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Trade certifications are a plus but not required. ## Benefits
