Overview:
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in upholding production efficiency, quality standards, and safety protocols by meticulously maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment. Their expertise ensures uninterrupted operation and optimal functionality of essential equipment, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process. Description/ Essential Job Functions
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, meticulously following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, while effectively troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by keenly observing mechanical devices in operation, attentively listening for anomalies, and employing precision measuring and testing instruments to pinpoint issues.
  • Removes defective parts by expertly dismantling devices, utilizing hoists, cranes, and an array of hand and power tools, meticulously examining form and texture to identify areas of concern.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by meticulously inspecting used components, and employing rules, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for accurate assessments.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments with precision, utilizing hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges to ensure optimal performance.
  • Controls downtime by proactively informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and diligently monitoring compliance to uphold operational efficiency.
  • Performs replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machines, including motors, relays, and switches, and proficiently sets up sensing mechanisms.
  • Carries out diagnosis and promptly corrects or replaces malfunctioning electronics, addressing electrical wiring issues as necessary within the facility.
  • Fabricates repair parts with precision using machine shop instrumentation and equipment, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality.
  • Maintains meticulous equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by regularly checking stock levels, anticipating required equipment, parts, and supplies, expeditiously placing orders, and verifying receipt to avoid disruptions.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by judiciously utilizing equipment and supplies to accomplish job results effectively and efficiently.
  • Provides comprehensive mechanical maintenance information by promptly addressing questions and requests, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Prepares detailed mechanical maintenance reports by meticulously collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Maintains a cutting-edge technical knowledge base by actively participating in educational workshops, staying abreast of technical publications, and fostering professional networks to remain updated on industry best practices.
  • Ensures continuity among work teams by meticulously documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, promoting seamless collaboration and efficiency.
  • Demonstrates expertise in installing conduit and wiring, proficiently working with 3-phase, 480 voltage systems, while maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of PLCs, CAD, pneumatics, hydraulics, blueprints, and schematics, leveraging expertise to optimize equipment performance and functionality.
  • Proactively participates in continuous improvement efforts, contributing to a team environment focused on innovation and excellence.
  • Skillfully executes equipment installations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality to support production needs.
  • Coordinates employee schedules to ensure production requirements are met, with the ability to provide disciplinary action as needed, holding employees accountable for their actions.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of industrial safety practices for the handling of equipment and machinery, effectively training others in safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Ensure finished products meet or exceed all regulatory, industry, and customer requirements for food safety and quality. Maintain all GFSI, HACCP, and food defense systems. Requirements/Other Skills/Abilities
  • Demonstrate proficiency with over 4 years of experience in a related role, showcasing mastery in equipment maintenance.
  • Possess a robust technical understanding, enabling effective problem-solving and troubleshooting in various scenarios.
  • Adaptable and resilient, adept at navigating uncertainties with composure and agility.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Exemplary attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and maintenance procedures.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
