POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will help ensure compliance with GMP and Quality Control standards while maintaining critical building infrastructure, water treatment systems, and process equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who takes pride in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility equipment, including: Boilers, Air compressors, Chillers, Valves, Pumps, Gearboxes, HVAC systems, and Electrical systems Troubleshoot and perform repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime. Maintain facility floors and building infrastructure to meet GMP requirements and support a clean, safe work environment. Install, repair, and replace electrical conduit, receptacles, switches, lighting, and related electrical components. Operate and maintain the facility water treatment system, ensuring pH, TDS, and BOD levels remain within regulatory and company specifications. Accurately maintain required logs, records, and spreadsheets in a timely and compliant manner. Support batching operations by repairing, overhauling, and replacing valves, pumps, and mechanical seals. Assist with internal GMP audit corrective actions and facility repair projects. Organize and maintain outdoor equipment storage areas. Coordinate scrap metal collection and recycling activities. Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance, engineering, and compressor areas. Follow and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety standards. Perform welding and fabrication work as needed; sanitary welding experience is a strong plus. Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment and facility systems. Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and maintenance best practices. Familiarity with GMP environments and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation. Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical school, trade school, or vocational training in a maintenance-related field preferred. Previous experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, manufacturing, food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated environments preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with water treatment systems. Welding and fabrication experience, including sanitary welding. Knowledge of GMP, QC, and food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. Experience with boilers, HVAC, compressed air systems, and related utility equipment.
