Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for our second shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with the potential for overtime ranging from 10-15 hours per week. This role involves mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of various machinery, including bottle melters, blowers, and plastic molding machinery. Responsibilities Troubleshoot mechanical issues on bottle melters and blowers. Repair and replace worn-out shafts, bearings, and gears on conveyors and labeling machines. Conduct electrical troubleshooting of panels, relays, photo eyes, and proximity switches. Wire production machines up to 480v, including those running Allen Bradley PLC software. Perform maintenance and adjustments on blow molds, trimmers, and palletizers. Conduct mold, neck tooling, and pin changes. Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses. Rebuild and replace valves and pumps. Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment. Maintain machines in optimal processing condition. Weld, fabricate, and repair various machines. Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Receive instructions and assistance from Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor. Essential Skills Experience in mechanical troubleshooting of plastic molding machinery. Familiarity with pneumatic systems and conveyors. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and wiring up to 480v. Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC software and PLC troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics and perform controls experience.
