Viewpoint School is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker provides hands on support with the Utility/Custodial Department. Assists with moving items, loading and unloading and with the set-up and breakdowns of events/meetings. Hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Additional Functions:
Assist team members with event/meeting set ups and breakdowns Assist in moving tables, chairs, canopies, classroom/office furniture as needed Conduct basic custodial work during down periods, such as but not limited to trash and recycling clean up, spot cleaning of exterior walkways, trash pick-up, etc. Provide general labor as needed/requested Assist with loading and unloading stock items Assist in supply chain organization Participate in OSHA and "Right to Know" training Light maintenance such as but not limited to touch up painting, replacing ceiling tiles, changing out clocks Other tasks as assigned
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
Demonstrated experience in a customer service setting, with the ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with parents, faculty, staff and administration Must have a valid driver's license Physical Requirements and Work Environment Be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to frequently climb stairs, uneven terrain and hillside pathways. (Reasonable accommodations that do not cause an undue hardship on Viewpoint may be available)Ability to work outdoors under year-round climate. Position may require weekend and evening work Knowledge of safety practices and procedures Time management skills
Compensation :
$22 per hour
