Facilities Maintenance The Church at Green Hills La Habra, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $21 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Teamwork Equipment repair Attention to detail Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description We're looking for a hands-on, dependable person to join our Facilities & Maintenance team who enjoys solving problems, working with a team, and making a meaningful impact. This is a great role for someone who likes variety in their work. From preparing spaces for events to tackling small repairs and coordinating larger projects, you will play a key role in keeping our campus welcoming, functional, and ready for everything from weekly gatherings to special events. What you'll do: Perform a variety of basic maintenance and repair tasks around the campus Set up and reset rooms for meetings, events and gatherings (tables, chairs, and equipment) Help ensure spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming in coordination with our custodial services Work alongside staff and volunteers to complete projects Help track maintenance needs and recommend improvements or future repairs Why this role is unique: Flexible weekday scheduling (within regular office hours) A supportive, team-oriented environment with staff and volunteers Meaningful work that directly supports community events, including weddings, memorials, and other church gatherings A mix of independent tasks and collaborative projects Opportunity to take ownership of projects and improve systems over time What we're looking for: Experience with general building or home repairs Comfort using hand and power tools A problem-solver who's willing to learn and take initiative Physically able to handle active, hands-on work Reliable, detail-oriented, and easy to work with Available Sunday mornings as needed Available to offer facility support for weddings, funerals and meetings as needed This is a part-time position averaging 12-18 hours per week.
