Maintenance Mechanic 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars Lake Forest, CA Mac Incorporated 25 reviews We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing and facility operations. The ideal candidate prioritizes product safety and cleanliness, troubleshoots and repairs production and support equipment, and helps minimize downtime through preventive maintenance and parts planning. Key responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility support systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic). Plan and stock essential spare parts and tools to reduce production interruptions. Schedule, execute, and document preventive maintenance and work orders using CMMS. Monitor, service, and optimize HVAC systems for reliable climate control and energy efficiency. Maintain and repair dust collection systems and other air-handling equipment. Support production line changeovers and respond to maintenance requests promptly. Complete and retain required cGMP and other compliance documentation. Follow and enforce safety procedures, including lockout/tagout; identify and mitigate hazards. Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime when needed. Request and track parts and materials required for repairs. Qualifications Required skills and experience Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; hands-on maintenance experience (minimum 5 years). Proven ability to install, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and related components on manufacturing and packaging equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and facility layouts. Experience troubleshooting PLCs and associated I/O devices. Familiarity with VFDs, brushless DC and DC motor controllers, and temperature controller programming/troubleshooting. Strong customer-service orientation and ability to collaborate with coworkers, vendors, and contractors. Effective verbal and written English communication. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Experience using CMMS (experience with e-Maintenance or similar preferred). At least one year of experience in a food supplement, food contact, or food manufacturing environment preferred. Prior experience in fast-paced manufacturing or packaging settings. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or degree from a trade school is preferred. Preferred Associate degree or formal certification in Electrical/Electronic or related field. Experience with metal or machinery fabrication. #IND2
