Maintenance / Facilities Position Summary Fremont Hills Country Club is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Full-Time Houseman / PM Maintenance & Facilities Attendant to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality of the Club during the afternoon and evening hours. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work and notices what needs attention without always having to be asked. During the PM shift, this individual will serve as an important maintenance and facilities presence when the Maintenance Director is no longer on property . Responsibilities will include general cleaning, pool deck maintenance, fitness and locker room cleaning, basic maintenance and troubleshooting, event support, and monitoring the overall condition of the property. We are looking for someone who can walk through the Club and think, "What needs to be done?" rather than "What was I told to do?" Essential Responsibilities Pool & Aquatics Areas Maintain and clean the pool deck throughout the PM shift. Keep pool furniture, tables, chairs, and lounge areas clean, organized, and properly arranged. Open, close, reposition, and secure pool umbrellas as needed based on member use, weather, and wind conditions. Regularly inspect the pool deck for trash, spills, standing water, safety concerns, or items requiring attention. Assist with placement and removal of pool covers as required. Help ensure pool covers are properly handled, stored, and maintained. Keep the pool deck, surrounding walkways, gathering areas, and outdoor furniture clean and presentable. Empty trash and towel receptacles and maintain overall cleanliness of the Aquatics areas. Report damaged furniture, umbrellas, equipment, lighting, plumbing, or other maintenance concerns. Assist Aquatics staff with reasonable facility-related needs. Fitness Center & Locker Rooms Regularly inspect and clean the Fitness Center during the PM shift. Maintain clean floors, mirrors, counters, high-touch surfaces, and common areas. Keep the fitness area organized and presentable for members. Monitor the facility for damaged equipment or maintenance concerns and immediately report issues. Clean and maintain men's and women's locker rooms, including restrooms, showers, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors, and other common areas. Replenish restroom and locker room supplies as needed. Empty trash, remove used towels, and maintain designated towel areas. Regularly inspect locker rooms throughout the shift rather than waiting until closing. Immediately address spills, cleanliness concerns, or potential safety hazards. General Maintenance & Troubleshooting Conduct regular property walks to identify maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and operational issues. Perform basic repairs and PM maintenance within the employee's capabilities. Troubleshoot minor plumbing, lighting, door, hardware, furniture, and facility issues. Replace light bulbs, tighten fixtures, make simple adjustments, and complete other routine maintenance. Respond promptly to facility requests from Club management and other departments. Identify problems that require professional repair and communicate them to the Maintenance Director or Manager on Duty. Check doors, gates, lighting, restrooms, exterior areas, and other Club facilities throughout the evening. Complete an end-of-shift walkthrough and clearly communicate any unresolved issues. Housekeeping & Club Appearance Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of Club facilities throughout the shift. Clean restrooms, locker rooms, fitness areas, common areas, offices, hallways, and other assigned spaces. Empty trash and recycling and maintain waste collection areas. Respond immediately to spills and unexpected housekeeping needs. Maintain entrances, patios, walkways, and outdoor gathering areas. Ensure the Club remains clean and member-ready throughout the evening. Club & Event Support Assist with moving and setting up tables, chairs, umbrellas, furniture, and equipment. Support setup and breakdown of Club events, meetings, member functions, and special activities. Assist other departments with reasonable facility and maintenance needs. Respond professionally and courteously when approached by members, guests, or employees. Qualifications Previous experience in maintenance, housekeeping, hotels, resorts, private clubs, fitness facilities, aquatics facilities, or a similar environment preferred. Basic knowledge of general building maintenance and minor repairs preferred. Ability to safely use basic hand tools, cleaning equipment, and maintenance equipment. Ability to work PM/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Must have reliable transportation to and from Fremont Hills Country Club . Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while also working independently. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. The employee must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift. Safely lift and carry approximately 50 pounds. Move tables, chairs, pool furniture, umbrellas, equipment, and other Club furnishings. Assist with installing and removing pool covers. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safely use ladders, hand tools, cleaning equipment, and basic maintenance equipment. What Success Looks Like The right person for this position does not simply wait for a work order or cleaning checklist. They walk through the property and notice that an umbrella needs to be secured, the pool deck needs attention, a locker room needs cleaning, towels need to be picked up, a light is out, furniture needs to be straightened, or something is not working properly, and they take action. When the Maintenance Director leaves for the day, Club management should feel confident that there is a reliable set of eyes and hands on the property who will help keep Fremont Hills clean, safe, operational, and looking its best for our members and guests.
