Job Description:
Conduct daily walkthroughs of hospital grounds and facilities to identify functional issues, malfunctions, and needed repairs. Perform preventive maintenance tasks throughout the facility and document observations and required repairs in a clear and timely manner. Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacing lightbulbs and removing or installing general light fixtures. Perform minor plumbing maintenance, such as repairing or replacing leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging drains, and replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices. Carry out other minor building maintenance duties, including adjusting doors, fitting locks and handles, and similar handyman tasks. Reconfigure, install, position, and remount office furniture and related components, such as wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, and file cabinets, to meet user needs and maximize office space. Use a variety of hand tools safely and effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks. Order parts and supplies as needed and maintain required documentation related to maintenance activities and inventory. Support facility maintenance operations by performing other work-related duties as assigned. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a hospital facility that provides mental health treatment, where maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment is essential. You will work on-site Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., performing routine walkthroughs and maintenance tasks throughout the building and grounds. The role involves frequent use of hand tools, interaction with building systems such as lighting, plumbing fixtures, and office furniture, and movement between various clinical, office, and common areas. The environment is fast-paced and service-oriented, requiring awareness of patient and staff activity while performing maintenance duties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
