Full Job Description Description:
Love Working with Your Hands and Taking Pride in Your Community? Join Our Team! GSF Properties Inc. is looking for a Grounds & Maintenance Technician II in Madera, CA. Come join a dynamic property management team and help create a clean, safe, and welcoming community for our residents! In this role, you will perform a broad range of maintenance functions at our Madera community (81 units). Responsibilities include unit turnovers, painting, plumbing, and electrical work. You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the overall appearance of the property, including residential common areas, office spaces, grounds, and parking areas. Your work will play a key role in ensuring the community is well-maintained and operates in alignment with ownership and management objectives. The position also requires completing routine grounds upkeep and responding promptly to work orders.
Compensation & Schedule:
This position is scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with pay at $22.50 per hour . Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and experience in apartment maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Manager and Portfolio Manager to ensure all maintenance and grounds are well maintained Perform preventative maintenance and repair work, including appliances, carpentry, hardware, and basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Complete service requests and work orders in a timely manner in accordance with company standards Prepare vacant units to ensure they are market-ready and meet quality expectations Maintain community grounds, curb appeal, and manage trash and common areas Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed Maintain positive relationships with residents, team members, and vendors Assist with annual unit inspections and identify necessary repairs or improvements Report lease violations and community concerns to management Coordinate with management to schedule vendors and order supplies as needed Ensure excellent curb appeal at and Madera community

Requirements:
Job Requirements for
Maintenance Technician II:
2+ years of maintenance or related experience Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and general repairs (plumbing a plus) Basic computer skills and ability to use web-based systems Strong customer service and communication skills Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team Flexible, adaptable, and receptive to feedback Available Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with on-call as needed Valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to work in Madera
