Maintenance Technician / Handyman - Martinez, CACompany Overview Security Public Storage (SPS) is a family-owned and operated self-storage company with 53 self-storage facilities located throughout California, Oregon, Nevada, Maryland, and Virginia. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining clean, safe, and secure storage facilities for our tenants. Job Summary Security Public Storage is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support the daily maintenance and repair needs of our Martinez facility. This position is ideal for a dependable, self-motivated individual with experience in a variety of maintenance trades who enjoys solving problems and taking pride in maintaining commercial properties. Qualifications & Skills Qualified applicants should have experience in several of the following areas: Low-voltage systems (alarms, access control, security gates, and cameras) IP camera installation and audio/video systems General facility maintenance Landscaping Irrigation Painting Plumbing Electrical Concrete and asphalt repair Framing Metal fabrication and repair Requirements Valid California driver's license Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks Strong troubleshooting and repair skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Medical, dental, and vision insurance (company pays approximately 80% of the employee premium) Paid vacation and sick time Seven paid company holidays plus one floating personal holiday 401(k) with up to a 4% company match Opportunities for advancement with a growing, family-owned company Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a DMV review, background check, and drug screening.
