You'll use construction skills across many trades every day, including framing, carpentry, cabinetry, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and pools and pool equipment. You'll also be the reliable person our team and clients count on to get the job done right. Responsibilities Maintain and repair MDA properties, both routine work and urgent calls Framing, carpentry and structural repairs: walls, doors, windows, trim and decks Install, repair and adjust cabinets, countertops, shelving and finish carpentry Troubleshoot and do basic service on HVAC systems: filters, thermostats, vents and minor repairs Electrical work: outlets, switches, fixtures, fans, breakers and basic troubleshooting Mechanical and plumbing repairs: faucets, toilets, water heaters, appliances and fixtures Pool and spa maintenance: cleaning, skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and testing and balancing water chemistry Pool equipment service and repair: pumps, motors, filters, heaters, chlorinators and salt systems, valves, timers and automation controls Drywall, painting, flooring, tile and general finish work Inspect properties on a schedule and do preventive maintenance, including pool equipment Coordinate with licensed contractors on larger or permitted work Complete punch-list and touch-up work on MDA projects Communicate with clients professionally and keep them updated on work progress Keep records of work done, materials used, pool chemical readings and time spent Keep tools, the vehicle and job sites clean, safe and organized Experience & Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction, maintenance or a handyman role Strong skills in framing, rough and finish carpentry, and cabinetry Working experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems Hands-on experience maintaining pools and servicing pool equipment Knowledge of pool water chemistry and how to handle pool chemicals safely Able to diagnose problems and find practical solutions on your own Dependable and on time, and takes ownership of every job Professional and respectful with clients, and communicates clearly in English Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation Own hand and power tools Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors Nice to Have Experience working with architects, builders or property managers Fluent in English Spanish language skills
