Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join Our Client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment within a structural steel or heavy manufacturing environment.
Essential FunctionsWork closely with the Production Manager and Shop Foreman to coordinate routine maintenance of shop equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain shop machinery, including CNC equipment.
Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on company forklifts, vehicles, and trailers, and complete inspection logs.
Perform routine safety inspections on company forklifts, vehicles, and trailers.
Complete weekly machine inventory and grease logs.
Inspect the facility periodically for necessary maintenance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Specialized Knowledge & ExperienceOperating knowledge of CNC machines such as Beamline, Plasma Table, and Plate Processors.
Comprehensive knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems up to 480 volts.
Experience repairing and maintaining cranes and hoists.
Experience repairing and maintaining welding machines, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and diesel equipment.
Working knowledge of motors and controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
At least 3 years of electrical troubleshooting experience required.
At least 3 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
Experience with forklift maintenance and oil changes preferred.
Experience repairing welding machines preferred.
At least 3 years of preventive maintenance experience preferred.
