We are seeking an Engineer to join our team who will maintain optimal hotel operations by promptly addressing guest and associate maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all building systems and equipment function efficiently. Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. Guests can unwind by our resort-style pool and on-site spa, explore the area on complimentary bicycles, and enjoy inspired dining at Larkspur Grill, Lemon Drop Pool Bar or Café Paseo. Located along world-renowned El Paseo, our boutique hotel places guests steps from premier shopping, art galleries, acclaimed restaurants, and vibrant nightlife while serving as the perfect gateway to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. What will you be doing? Repair and paint furniture and structures (cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and wallpaper). Check and make minor repairs on electrical systems such as HVAC, refrigeration controls, vacuum cleaners, hairdryers, lightning systems, television sets and phones. Check and make minor repairs on plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, valves, toilets, showers, sinks and cutting of keys as well as major repair of locks. Performs preventive maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems according to the preventive maintenance schedule. Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of work area along with personal hygiene. Perform other duties and complete special projects as assigned. What do you bring to the role? Able to use ladders and lift heavy items. Ability to use all general repair tools. Ability to read simple drawings and specifications. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist, and stretch. Must be able to read and write in English. Must be able to perform basic math. 3 to 4 years previous experience in a general repair maintenance position. Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
