Indian Ridge Country Club is one of the premier country club communities in the Coachella Valley. We are an equity club and one of the few completely member-owned, member-operated country clubs in the desert. We have two superb 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Courses; outstanding Tennis, Pickleball and Bocce facilities and offer lessons, clinics and a variety of programs. We have a recently expanded and remodeled state-of-the art Fitness Center with the latest strength and cardio equipment and an active schedule of classes; a recently expanded and remodeled full-service day Spa; three restaurants with outstanding food; and a never-ending social calendar. Indian Ridge Country Club is looking to add a talented Maintenance and Repair Mechanic staff to its team. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Basic knowledge of trades to understand repair problems and make minor repairs on outlets, lamps and plumbing fixtures. General knowledge of power tools. Wood floor maintenance and installation of floor tiles. Wall framing, drywall repairs. HVACR Maintenance and repair Lock repair and replacement. Basic knowledge of painting. Basic knowledge of Plumbing. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations. Job Tasks/Duties Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation systems and building structures of the club. Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers and pool pumps. Maintain filtration and chlorination of swimming pool, tests swimming pool water; and maintains daily log of water test results for local health department inspections. Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club's PM procedures. Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls and paves brick. Repairs small motors. Repair chiller pumps. Attends departmental staff meetings. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Repair and Maintenance Manager. General maintenance knowledge with focus mechanics specialty: on HVAC. on Refrigeration & plumbing. on Electrical & lighting. on Painting & wood work. Physical Requirement and Work Environment Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. Frequent repetitive motions. Continuous standing and walking. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GED required. Post-secondary vocational/ technical training in electrical engineering, HVAC or refrigeration desirable. 3 year maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting.
