Maintenance Technician

Safety-Conscious Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician who is dedicated to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a sense of urgency, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities Ensure a clean and orderly shop environment. Clean trailers, including floors, walls, counters, and other surfaces. Assist and train in inspecting electrical systems, checking and sealing roofs, and performing carpentry repairs. Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the facility, including the lawn, parking lot, and building. Conduct regular inventory checks and place orders as necessary. Participate in regular safety meetings. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Essential Skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of carpentry. Additional Skills & Qualifications Safety training (OSHA 10 hour) is preferred. Background in carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical and HVAC repairs. Experience with electrical, plumbing, and welding is a plus. Ability to operate a floor buffer. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position involves working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures. You will work in a shop and yard environment, as well as inside trailers that may lack air conditioning. The standard work hours are 7am-3:30pm, with flexibility to start earlier if needed. The dress code includes steel toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt, with protective glasses and gloves provided by the company. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perris, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
