Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician for our Pinole, CA location to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. Your expertise will help keep our facilities operating smoothly, supporting both safety standards and operational efficiency. As a Maintenance Technician, you are a key part of our success. From HVAC to plumbing to a fresh coat of paint, Maintenance Technicians have a hand in every apartment and every resident's satisfaction. In this role, you must have a working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service including the ability to troubleshoot problems and provide superior customer service. You will respond to maintenance issues, follow-up with residents and office staff, and handle routine issues for appliances, and building upkeep. Duties Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prep walls, prime, and paint apartments
- Repair sheetrock and finish work including taping and floating to prepare for painting
- Replace hardwood laminate flooring as needed-Installation of baseboards
- Repair and/or replace faucets
- Remove and install light fixtures and bulbs-Install smoke detectors
- Repair cabinet hardware
- Repair or replace appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, and garbage disposals.
- Remove and install bathroom mirrors and cabinets
- Remove and install electrical outlets and light switches
- Remove and install blinds
- Repair and/or replace interior doors and hardware
- Repair leaking toilets and faucets-Repair plumbing backups-Pool maintenance-Cleaning of Sidewalk and parking areas.
- Cleaning of community grounds
- Landscaping watering, mowing, and trimming
- Schedule and respond to work orders, advise Property Manager on progress and if a same-day response is not possible.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Property Manager. Experience
- Electrical, plumbing, painting & carpentry experience a must.
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Must have reliable transportation & a valid driver's license.
- Bilingual a plus-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented and work as a team player.
In addition to the skills listed above, Technicians are responsible for compliance with all OSHA regulations and any applicable laws in your area regarding health, safety, or environment, as well as budget and key control. You will deal directly and consistently with the residents to analyze and resolve issues. Resolving issues must be done both timely and accurately with a sense of urgency and customer focus.
