A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.

Out team is growing and currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic.
JOB SUMMARY.
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and maintaining conveyors, belts, chains, motors, heavy equipment, fixtures, hoists, cranes and plumbing of the Sun Pacific Euclid Packing House equipment and refrigeration system. This includes the ability to respond to and repair breakdowns and install new or replace equipment.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP.
The Maintenance Mechanic will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
The essential job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ability to respond to and repair breakdowns and install new or replace equipment; Ability to inspect defective equipment and diagnose malfunctions using general knowledge of packing house equipment; Use hand tools to clean, repair, and maintain packing house equipment and machinery; Assists other mechanics by lubricating, adjusting, or replacing packing house machines; Maintaining facility lighting system; Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery and electrical equipment; Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment to ensure high productivity levels; Maintain water systems, which include on site-water wells and waste water ponds (maintaining proper levels and performing all required sampling and reporting/recordkeeping); Maintain facility and surrounding property to a clean and sanitary standard in order to meet food safety requirements and Company expectations; and, Performing all other duties, assignments, and projects as assigned.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to work well, safely, professionally, and take direction from department lead and manager; Ability to lift and carry motors, pumps and miscellaneous equipment and materials up to 50 lbs.; Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, and climb stairs and ladders; Knowledge of welding,and fabrication; Must know the range of hand tools (sizes) and able to operate battery powered tools; Ability to read and speak English; Certifications are a plus; Knowledge of PSM/Cal-ARP, HACCP, food safety, and related; Knowledge in refrigeration and electrical systems; Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration cycles; Ability to work independently with little supervision and have excellent communication skills; Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks; Ability to maintain good house cleaning within the department; and, Ability to work in, extensive hours, weekends, and be very flexible to compliment operations for continued success.
COMPENSATION
Hourly compensation offered is $18.50.
