Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, holidays and occasional on-call work Deluxe Staffing is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician for a long-term temporary assignment supporting a busy commercial production facility in the South Bay / Los Angeles area. This role is best suited to someone with strong hands-on experience across general building maintenance, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems and equipment repairs. The successful candidate must be dependable, technically confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems Carry out basic plumbing and electrical repairs Diagnose and repair commercial equipment and machinery Support maintenance of cooking, production and sanitation equipment Repair commercial dishwashing and related facility equipment Perform general carpentry, painting and mechanical repairs as required Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across the facility Respond to urgent or last-minute maintenance issues Support minor construction and repair projects on-site Maintain tools, equipment and the maintenance work area in a safe and organised condition Complete maintenance work efficiently while minimising disruption to operations Identify equipment faults and escalate larger technical issues where necessary Carry out additional maintenance duties as required Candidate Requirements Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, Building Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic Practical knowledge of HVAC and/or refrigeration systems Experience with plumbing and electrical maintenance Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Comfortable working with commercial machinery and equipment Able to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable, punctual and organised Good verbal and written communication skills Comfortable using a smartphone and laptop for work-related communication Able to manage multiple maintenance priorities in a busy environment Physically able to stand for extended periods and carry out lifting, pushing, pulling and manual maintenance tasks Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including chilled or cold environments Flexible with working hours Highly Desirable Experience Experience in any of the following would be particularly valuable: Commercial kitchens Catering facilities Food production Hotels Airports Manufacturing Warehousing Industrial maintenance Refrigeration systems Commercial dishwashing equipment What We Offer $27.00-$28.00 per hour Long-term temporary assignment Full-time working hours Opportunity to work within a large commercial operation Potential for ongoing work depending on performance and business requirements This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional seeking stable, long-term temporary work without committing to a permanent position.
