LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN SAN CLEMENTE CA IS LOOKING FOR A STRONG MAINTENANCE MECHANIC ON DAY SHIFT. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE WITH PLCS, VFDS, 480V, ETC. RPTS TO
Maintenance Supervisor HOURS:
1st shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
PAYS:
$32-37HR
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Maintenance Mechanic's primary job function is to keep Production and Packaging equipment running. A Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, repairs as needed, orders and picks up replacement parts, and does some inside and outside building maintenance. Maintenance Mechanics are required to follow all SOP's and GMP's and other department specific training. To ensure product safety and quality, Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for controlling physical contaminants, properly storing personal items, and reporting suspicious people or activities to their supervisor. Maintenance Mechanics' activities are monitored and directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Maintenance Mechanics must have above average math skills and outstanding mechanical skills. Maintenance Mechanic candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Packaging and Production machinery maintenance and repair. Experience in a food plant processing plant with pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment is preferred Electronics and HVAC skills are required Welding experience preferred Experience with RTOs and PLC is preferred Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot different equipment mentioned above Must be comfortable using a computer based maintenance system
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee must be physically able to wear a respirator. Employee must have ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Employee must have ability to climb stairs. Must be able to work in an environment where allergenic food products are present.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None
WORKING CONDITIONS
Employee will work primarily in a shop that is temperature-controlled, but there will be occasional outside work and the employee will also be outside walking between buildings. #IND2
