[771000] Job Details The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the safety of the property in compliance with corporate standards, as well as local, state & national codes & regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for maintaining the exterior of the building, parking lot, and common areas, maintaining all guest rooms equipment. Ensures hotel safety and green program including proper trash removal and recycling. Responsible for maintaining life/safety systems including fire, elevators, disasters and emergency lighting and generating systems. Ensures completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of hotel, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems, phone system, Internet, audio systems, surveillance equipment and any other related equipment which contributes to the safe and effective operation of the Hotel. Must be able to respond to emergencies.

Perform special projects as assigned. Maintain good working relationships and open lines of communication with all other departments.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests. Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to the General Manager. Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the employee Handbook This is what the job requires:
Education:
High school education or equivalent experience Valid California driver's license and ability to drive stick shift required.
Experience:
Experience required by position is from two to three full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate in English; second language desirable. Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. Sufficient manual dexterity in hands. Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace. Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
