Maintenance Technician, you will manage, maintain and repair liquid cooling systems that regulate temperatures for high-density servers. You will calibrate fluid pumps, monitor coolant pressure and chemistry, prevent leaks, and perform emergency break-fix repairs to safeguard critical IT hardware. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with all departments, vendors, and building management.
What You'll Do:
Monitor fluid flow rates, temperatures, and pressures through building automation software to ensure optimal CDU performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of internal pumps, filters, valves, and quick-disconnect fittings in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose thermal alarms and loop imbalances to prevent rapid server overheating and protect critical IT hardware.
  • Maintain coolant purity levels and manage secondary liquid loops connected directly to server cold plates.
  • Perform emergency break-fix repairs on CDU systems to minimize downtime and safeguard data center operations.
  • React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
  • Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable regulations.
  • Complete planned preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all CDU equipment.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements are met. Conduct routine quality checks on finished work.
  • Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You'll Need:
Hands-on background in mechanical or HVAC mission-critical infrastructure with 1-2 years of job-related experience. Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of pump curves, fluid dynamics, and heat exchangers.
  • Familiarity with control protocols such as MODBUS, BACnet, or Redfish.
  • Relevant certifications or technical training, such as EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this role.
  • Ability to effectively present information to internal departments, clients, management, and/or colleagues.
  • Communication skills to exchange technical information clearly.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training and experience. The salary range is $45 - $50 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications and experience.
