Job Overview As a Commercial Overhead Door Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the functionality and safety of commercial overhead doors. Your expertise will be essential in installation, maintenance, and repair tasks that keep businesses running smoothly. You'll work with a dynamic team, utilizing your skills in various areas such as welding, carpentry, and mechanical knowledge to deliver top-notch service to our clients. What you'll do Install and maintain commercial overhead doors, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Perform glass installation, welding, and fabrication tasks as needed to meet project specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. Conduct heavy lifting and door hanging operations with precision and care. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and project progress. Engage in remodeling projects that may involve trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and fixture installation. Collaborate with team members on various construction tasks while demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge. Experience Proven experience in overhead door installation or related fields such as construction or maintenance person services. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to the trade. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for accurate project execution. Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in carpentry, framing, and construction preferred. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety regulations is essential.
