Job Description
We are hiring a Full-Time Maintenance worker to join our team of multiple hotels between Santa Cruz and Capitola. Enjoy a positive work culture and a fun team of dedicated co-workers. A hotel maintenance worker performs a variety of duties related to the smooth upkeep and maintenance of a hotel's operations on both the interior and exterior. You will be responsible for keeping the hotel maintained and fixing any issues that occur for our small boutique properties. You should expect physically demanding work that includes using tools and equipment and moving around much of the day, including having to climb ladders, lift heavy items and crawl in tight spaces when necessary. Your goal will be to ensure our hotel premises are safe and functional for guests and employees alike. Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: Will be required to travel between two to three properties as part of weekly schedule. Complete tasks and assignments on daily maintenance checklists including preventative maintenance to rooms on weekly basis. Ensures exterior building and grounds are clean by use of a pressure washer and blower. Clears debris from parking lot, landscaping, and dumpster area daily Clears trash and empties property trash containers daily. Sweeps and cleans sidewalks and stairs as needed (trash and weather related). Ability to patch holes, clean carpets, and paint walls, ceilings, doors. Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary. Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment. Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Monitor furnace, air-conditioner and boiler systems to provide heat, cool air and hot water. Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers as needed. Order maintenance supplies as needed. Ensures Preventive Maintenance repairs in the following areas occur lighting, electrical and wiring, plumbing, lite HVAC, guest rooms, appliances, doors and locks, furniture, carpet (remove stains and cleaning) and floors.
Maintenance Worker Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Capable to stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend at waist and work on knees. Can reach overhead. Ability to work outside in hot or cold weather. _ _
