Woodworking Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Maintenance Worker 1 position will repair and maintain houses, buildings, structures, and facilities across all locations in the Southern Operations area.
DUTIES:
Responsible for maintenance of houses, buildings, structures, and facilities, including, but not limited to, construction, remodeling, repairs, and paint. Complete daily reports either in AppFolio or handwritten. Must maintain a neat work area while in and around tenant housing. Be respectful to the tenants and their personal property. Must keep supplies and tools organized, both at the work site and in service vehicles. Report work order changes immediately to Manager. Prepare and turn in an inventory report to the Foreman monthly. Required to perform daily safety checks on all materials and tools used in the performance of tasks/duties. Completes all tasks/duties with a minimum amount of supervision. Must comply with all Safety and Food Safety rules and regulations. Perform all other duties as directed by the Manager, Foreman, or Management. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 2 year of experience in construction or related field; must have experience in electrical, carpentry, and plumbing trades; must have experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, road graders; must possess a valid California Class C driver's license and maintain a clean DMV record. SKILLS and
ABILITIES
Must have good communication skills; must have the ability to understand and follow directions and posted work rules; must be able to efficiently utilize tools; must be able to prioritize tasks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to interact and work with coworkers and tenants; maintain a good attendance and punctuality record; accept constructive criticism. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need to be able to get in and out of a truck, sit, stand bend and stoop for long periods, be able to hear and talk, and must have normal or corrected to 20/40 eyesight; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, must have hand and feet dexterity, be able to twist from left to right and right to left from waist and turn neck both left and right.
