Supervisor:
Property Manager, Multi-Site Property Manager, Regional Property Manager, Regional Manager VP, VP About the Role We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance for multi-family housing communities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs. You'll ensure safety standards are met while delivering exceptional service to residents and team members. Responsibilities Maintain and repair building systems (HVAC, ventilation). Perform electrical and plumbing repairs. Service and repair household appliances, including stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers. Complete light carpentry, drywall, and hardware repairs. Install and maintain flooring, cabinets, and countertops. Prepare units for occupancy and assist with seasonal maintenance. Inspect and clean common mechanical and storage areas. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Respond to maintenance emergencies at assigned properties within a reasonable response time. Address after-hours emergencies, including plumbing leaks, electrical issues, HVAC failures, security concerns, and other urgent maintenance matters. Carry a company-provided phone or remain reachable by phone during assigned on-call periods. Work overtime as needed to respond to emergencies and help maintain resident safety and community operations. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician; multifamily housing experience preferred. Basic proficiency in two or more trades, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting. Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record. Reliable transportation that is properly registered, insured, and maintained in safe operating condition. Ability to independently travel between assigned communities throughout the workday. Basic computer skills and ability to use property management software. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance needs across assigned communities. Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. EPA Universal certification. CPO certification. Previous multifamily housing maintenance experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and occasional climbing. Flexible schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Transportation Requirements Reliable personal transportation is required for daily travel between multiple community locations. Vehicle must be properly registered, insured, and maintained in safe operating condition. Must be able to independently commute between assigned properties and transport tools, supplies, and equipment as needed. Willingness to travel between assigned communities and respond to emergency maintenance situations when required. Driver License Background Check Candidates must successfully pass a driver license background check as part of the hiring process to ensure that all employees who will be operating a company vehicle meet necessary safety standards. As an authorized driver of a company vehicle, you are required to maintain a valid motor vehicle record (MVR) throughout your employment. This includes ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance with company safety and insurance standards. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the rescinding of the job offer.
