The company produces famed Meyenberg® goat milk and butter, Redwood Hill Farm® goat milk yogurts and kefirs, and Green Valley® lactose-free cow milk dairy products. Darey Brands also co-manufactures premium, plant-based dairy alternatives. Products are sold nationwide at leading grocery, mass, natural, specialty, and online retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Kroger, Albertsons, Publix, HEB, Sprouts Farmers Market, Walmart, Amazon, Instacart, and more. Darey Brands is a recently created company that united two long-standing and iconic specialty dairy companies - Meyenberg and Redwood Hill Farm & Creamery. With 90 years of history in the industry, we're one of the OGs of specialty dairy. Darey Brands has two primary locations, in Sebastopol, CA and Turlock, CA, with approximately 130 employees across both sites. Darey Brands is wholly owned by Emmi Group. Job Overview:
The Darey Brands Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving the equipment at the facility so that the plant and its departments run smoothly with minimal downtime. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Company equipment and facilities. This is a full-time, non-exempt position and will report directly to the Director of Maintenance.
Objectives:
Interact with the department supervisor and co-workers to create a cohesive, well run Maintenance Department environment. Conduct repairs and maintenance of the equipment and the plant so that they are kept in pristine condition. Constantly analyze systems and procedures for possible improvements. Constantly strive for self-improvement and education to help the department and oneself. Maintain excellence at every level. Create and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, repair, disassemble, and troubleshoot complex processes, packaging machinery, and other manufacturing equipment. Repair and utilize material handling equipment including manual pallet jacks, electronic pallet jacks, and forklifts. Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, etc. as needed. Perform visual inspection and diagnostic testing of Creamery machinery and equipment. Report any issues or malfunction to Director of Maintenance. Read blueprints, diagrams, and/or machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation. Layout, plan, measure, and execute tasks to support maintenance efforts. Utilize power & hand tools such as saws, drills, and small powered equipment to properly and safely to support work activities. Clean tools, parts and equipment after line rebuilds/repairs/maintenance as necessary. Provide technical expertise to train and support production and create an environment of continuous learning. Update Director of Maintenance Plus to accurately track new work orders, preventative maintenance and work order progress. Perform job assignments independently or as a member of a work crew, depending on the nature of the assignment. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures including lockout/tag out, and Confined Space. Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area and equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to three years of related work experience as a Maintenance Mechanic Experience working in a food manufacturing facility preferred Must have a valid driver's license

$20.50 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
