Role Summary As a Field Technician, you will drive our fully outfitted mobile workstation to customer homes across North County and Central San Diego (typically 3 to 5 visits per day). Operating curbside, you will take precise measurements, cut materials, assemble, and install custom screen products while providing friendly, professional service. This position begins with part-time hours (20-30 hours per week) and expands into full-time hours (40+ hours per week) during the peak spring and summer seasons.
Key Responsibilities Field Installation & Fabrication:
Drive the company mobile workstation to job sites. Measure windows and doors accurately, cut aluminum frame components using a 10" chop saw, assemble screens, and perform precise installations.
Customer Service & Invoicing:
Greet homeowners professionally, answer questions, walk them through completed work, generate invoices, and collect payments on-site.
On-Site Problem Solving:
Utilize hand tools, troubleshoot installation challenges, and ensure clean, high-quality finishes.
Workstation Upkeep:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe mobile workstation while working curbside at client locations.
Includes a 30-day trial and training period working alongside the owner and lead installer.
Company Equipment Provided:
Drive a fully outfitted mobile workstation equipped with all necessary tools and materials.
Overtime Eligible:
Standard W2 overtime pay applies when working over 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week during busy seasons.
