Job Title:

Maintenance Mechanic

Location:

South Gate, CA

Shift:

2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (days TBD)

Pay:

$28.00 - $40.00/hour Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Senior Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, conveyors, gearboxes, and production equipment. This role ensures all work is completed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment

Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment issues

Dismantle and repair defective components

Replace or install mechanical parts

Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals

Inspect parts for wear and accuracy

Support lubrication and cleaning of equipment

Train or assist less experienced maintenance staff Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

4+ years of mechanical experience or equivalent

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and machining

Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

Welding experience (MIG, TIG, arc, cutting, grinding) preferred

Forklift experience (certification preferred)

Ability to read/write English Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Manufacturing/warehouse environment

Exposure to heat, cold, noise, and moving machinery

Lift up to 100 lbs (regularly 75 lbs)

Standing, walking, bending, and climbing required

May work extended or off-hours as needed
