Maintenance Technician II Location:
Onsite, Stanford, CA Area Employment Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (40 hours/week)

$30 - $40/hr About the Role We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to perform a variety of facility maintenance and repair duties with a primary focus on carpentry and general building maintenance. This role requires the ability to work independently under general supervision while ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry and maintenance experience, a solid work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively using mobile technology for timekeeping and team communications. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair work of moderate complexity under general supervision. Complete routine maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Follow established procedures while making sound decisions within defined guidelines. Work independently or as part of a maintenance crew. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Carpentry & Facility Maintenance Duties Repair and restore furniture. Repair door jambs, door stops, and related hardware. Adjust and plane doors for proper fit. Replace door locks and hardware. Patch holes in walls and ceilings. Repair or replace chalkboards and other facility fixtures. Paint interior walls, partitions, and surfaces. Build and install shelves, bookcases, and similar structures. Replace broken windows. Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned. Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and guidelines. Required Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of facilities maintenance, carpentry, or related trade experience. Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, tools, and maintenance practices. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Comfortable using a mobile phone for timekeeping, communication, and work updates. Strong work ethic and reliability. Preferred Skills Experience with general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs across multiple maintenance disciplines. Experience working in commercial, institutional, or campus environments. Physical Requirements Ability to perform heavy physical labor in various outdoor weather conditions. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift 21 to 40 pounds. Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, climb ladders or scaffolding, and reach overhead. Visual acuity, including color vision, required. License Requirement Valid driver's license required. Driving is an essential function of this position.
