Maintenance Technician I Position Summary The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of buildings, grounds, and resort facilities. This position requires a dependable individual with experience using power tools and the ability to complete a variety of maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine building maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks. Service, maintain, clean, and troubleshoot hot tubs and spa equipment, including water testing and chemical balancing. Perform snow removal using shovels, snow blowers, or other equipment to maintain safe access to buildings and walkways. Complete minor electrical repairs such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, bulbs, breakers, and troubleshooting basic electrical issues. Perform light plumbing repairs, including replacing faucets, toilets, sinks, valves, drains, and repairing minor leaks. Complete light drywall repairs, patching holes, texture matching, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting. Perform interior and exterior painting, including touch-up work and surface preparation. Safely operate power tools and hand tools for maintenance, repair, and installation projects. Maintain equipment, tools, and maintenance inventory in good working condition. Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Assist with landscaping, grounds maintenance, and seasonal property upkeep as assigned. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Work independently or as part of a maintenance team to complete assigned projects. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. One to three years of general maintenance or facilities experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance. Experience servicing hot tubs or pools is preferred. Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools and hand tools. Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow and cold temperatures. Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as needed.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
