Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the building's interior and exterior, troubleshooting and repairing various systems, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff alike. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facilities maintenance will be vital to delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting the hotel's operational excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal functioning. Repair and troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel's aesthetic standards. Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and other mechanical systems with precision. Supervise maintenance projects when needed, providing leadership to junior team members or contractors to ensure timely completion. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics to diagnose complex system malfunctions efficiently. Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with excellent customer service skills, ensuring minimal disruption. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in accordance with safety standards and operational procedures. Other duties assigned by Management Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or residential setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC system repair, and welding. Familiarity with electrical equipment repair using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics. Ability to read technical diagrams including schematics for electrical systems and building layouts. Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to guide maintenance staff or contractors effectively. Knowledge of residential painting techniques and maintenance painting standards is advantageous. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Electrical experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems including troubleshooting refrigerant issues or system failures. Building interior maintenance expertise covering drywall repair, painting (including facility-specific), plumbing repairs, and general upkeep.
