A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
$25.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience About Buddy's Ranch Buddy's Ranch is seeking a reliable, experienced, and well-rounded Maintenance Technician to help maintain our facilities throughout the Yuba/Sutter area. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, can troubleshoot problems independently, and has experience handling a variety of general maintenance and repair needs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, all-around maintenance professional who is comfortable working across multiple trades. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout company facilities. Troubleshoot and complete general plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, sinks, drains, leaks, and minor fixture replacements. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting, fixtures, and other minor electrical issues within the scope of experience and applicable regulations. Complete drywall repair, patching, painting, caulking, and general cosmetic repairs. Perform minor carpentry, including doors, cabinets, trim, shelving, locks, and hardware. Troubleshoot basic HVAC-related concerns and coordinate professional service when necessary. Perform general appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs. Assist with exterior property maintenance and general facility upkeep. Assemble, install, repair, and replace furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Identify safety concerns, property damage, or repairs that require immediate attention. Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner. Communicate clearly with management regarding completed work, needed materials, larger repairs, and outside vendor needs. Travel between Buddy's Ranch locations within the Yuba/Sutter area as needed. Assist with additional facility and maintenance projects as assigned. Qualifications Previous professional maintenance, handyman, construction, property maintenance, or facilities experience required . Must be well-rounded with experience in multiple areas of maintenance and repair. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance strongly preferred. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete projects from start to finish. Must be dependable, punctual, organized, and able to communicate professionally with staff and management. Must understand personal skill limitations and recognize when a licensed professional is required. Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment. Ability to lift and carry maintenance materials and equipment and perform physical duties associated with the position. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Experience maintaining residential facilities, treatment facilities, multi-property operations, apartments, or similar environments is a plus. Pay Range:
