Join our White Elephant Aspen Team , part of White Elephant Resorts , a collection of award-winning boutique hotels and luxury resorts in Nantucket, Palm Beach, and Aspen. We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining the high standards and guest comfort we're known for. As a Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for ensuring the property's upkeep and functionality, including general repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency response across guest rooms and public areas. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting luxury hospitality. Prior experience in hospitality maintenance preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance tasks involving basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and painting work. Complete work orders in a timely manner via digital maintenance system. Support the preventive maintenance program across guest rooms and building systems. Assist with repairs to laundry, kitchen, HVAC, and safety systems. Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs without disrupting guest experience. Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local codes and hotel standards. Participate in snow removal and seasonal maintenance as required. Serve as Duty Engineer when assigned, responding to emergency calls and conducting building rounds.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of building systems and tools (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, meters, etc.). Familiarity with safety codes and proper chemical handling. Ability to read and understand instructions, perform basic math, and use mobile apps for work orders. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and work independently or as part of a team. Physical ability to lift 50-70 lbs, climb ladders, and perform tasks in varied conditions.
