Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, where your expertise will ensure our property remains a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and equipment, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain the hotel's facilities in pristine condition. Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC units, plumbing systems, and electrical panels. Use technical schematics to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Lead small maintenance projects with a focus on building interior maintenance, facilities upkeep, and R&M (repair & maintenance) operations. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, providing excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, parts used, and system updates. Assist with maintenance painting projects and other facility upgrades to enhance the hotel's appearance and functionality. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building engineering within a hospitality or residential environment. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience with repair of electrical equipment and systems. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system troubleshooting, welding techniques, carpentry skills, and use of hand tools. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring, HVAC controls, plumbing layouts, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Experience working with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) supplies and understanding of building interior maintenance standards. Ability to read technical schematics accurately using tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical work is essential. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions or explanations to team members or guests. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
