$25.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience Join a Company That Takes Pride in Quality Kokopelli Home Services is growing, and we're looking for an experienced, professional Handyman / Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. We're not looking for someone who can simply "get by." We're looking for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in producing high-quality work, communicates well with customers, and represents our company professionally in every home they enter. Our work includes residential maintenance, repairs, remodels, and improvements throughout the Grand Junction area. Every day is different, and we're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and takes ownership of their work. Required Qualifications The following are required for this position: Minimum 3 years of professional drywall experience Minimum 3 years of professional construction and/or property maintenance experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Clean criminal history and ability to pass a background check Broad professional handyman and property maintenance experience Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered. Drywall Experience Applicants must have at least 3 years of professional drywall experience, including: Drywall repair Patching holes of all sizes Tape and mud work Feathering and finishing Matching existing wall textures, including orange peel, knockdown, and hand textures Preparing walls for paint with minimal visible evidence of repairs Additional Trade Experience Applicants must also have professional experience with: Interior and exterior painting Plumbing repairs and fixture replacement Electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, and fixtures Door and hardware installation Trim and finish carpentry Caulking and weatherproofing General home maintenance and repairs Property punch lists Basic troubleshooting and problem solving What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Is professional and dependable Has outstanding customer service skills Communicates clearly with customers and office staff Shows up on time and prepared Works efficiently without sacrificing quality Takes pride in clean, organized job sites Can work independently while knowing when to ask questions Treats every customer's home with respect Pays close attention to detail Takes ownership of their work Wants to build a long-term career with a growing local company Additional Requirements Ability to lift 75+ pounds Comfortable using ladders and power tools Strong personal skills and customer service Must have their own tools Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Swamp cooler service Fence repairs Cabinet installation Tile repairs Flooring repairs Window and door installation Basic carpentry Minor remodeling projects
