Position Summary The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position requiring strong mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience with industrial equipment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and processing equipment. Perform preventative and routine maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, sprockets, belts, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyors. Weld, fabricate, modify, and repair equipment and components as needed. Diagnose mechanical problems and identify the root cause of equipment failures. Install, adjust, align, and replace mechanical components. Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs based on safety and production needs. Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and improvement projects. Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance. Communicate effectively with Production and Management regarding equipment issues. Follow all company safety, GMP, sanitation, and food safety requirements. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical maintenance experience preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Welding and fabrication experience. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Strong knowledge of chains, sprockets, bearings, belts, conveyors, and other mechanical systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely. Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns. Food manufacturing experience is a plus. Electrical, motor, VFD, or PLC experience is a plus. Work Environment This position works in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility and may involve wet, cold, humid, and noisy conditions. The role requires regular interaction with industrial equipment and the ability to safely perform physical maintenance tasks.

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
