Stone Countertop Finisher & InstallerJob Summary We are seeking an experienced Stone Countertop Finisher & Installer to join our team. This is a hands-on position requiring experience with both shop finishing and field installation of natural stone, quartz, and porcelain countertops. We are looking for someone who can professionally polish and finish countertops, complete sink and range cutouts, make field modifications, and install finished pieces. Experience operating a bridge saw is not required. The ideal candidate has previous countertop experience, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and is comfortable working with high-end materials and residential projects. Responsibilities Polish and finish quartzite, granite, marble, quartz, and porcelain Polish edges, seams, cutouts, and field modifications to a professional finish Complete sink cutouts, cooktop/range cutouts, faucet holes, and other countertop modifications Use grinders, polishers, diamond tooling, core bits, and other stone-finishing equipment Install countertops, islands, vanities, backsplashes, waterfall panels, and other stone or porcelain surfaces Properly level, seam, secure, and adhere countertop installations Perform on-site trimming, grinding, polishing, and adjustments when necessary Produce clean, tight seams and professional finished edges Safely handle, transport, and install heavy countertop materials Read measurements, drawings, templates, and job specifications accurately Inspect completed work for fit, finish, seams, alignment, and overall quality Maintain a clean and organized shop, jobsite, tools, and equipment Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, designers, and other trades Qualifications Previous countertop finishing and/or installation experience required Experience polishing natural stone and engineered quartz Experience working with materials such as quartzite, marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain Ability to complete sink and cooktop/range cutouts Experience using hand polishers, grinders, diamond pads, core bits, and stone-working tools Strong countertop installation skills, including leveling, seaming, adhesives, and field adjustments Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work from dimensions and drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy countertop materials as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively with a small crew What We're Looking For This is not a bridge saw operator position . We need someone who is strong in the finishing and installation side of the countertop trade. The right candidate should be able to take a cut countertop and handle the remaining work needed to get it ready for installation — polishing, sink and range cutouts, drilling, finishing, field modifications, seaming, and final installation. Experience working with quartzite, quartz, natural stone, and porcelain is especially valuable. We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean installations, quality finishing, and getting the details right.
