Job Description
Job Title:
Maintenance Technician 1 Reports to: Facilities Manager Maintenance Technician 1 plays an important role in ensuring that our members and guests have an exceptional experience. This entry-level position is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of all facility areas while upholding a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. All tasks will be performed in alignment with the mission and goals of Old Town Hot Springs. Training and support for this position will be provided by the Facility Manager, with additional technical and functional guidance from Maintenance Technician 2.Job Functions:
Pools & Wastewater Maintain pool mechanical systems to ensure proper function. Handle and apply pool chemicals safely, maintaining compliance with regulations. Monitor and adjust water chemistry; maintain accurate pool logs. Inspect and repair water slides and pool-related equipment, including in-water work as needed. Operate pool vacuums and maintain cleanliness of pools, decks, and surrounding areas. Assist with wastewater management Grounds Landscaping Snow removal both manual and using a snow blower Lawn furniture organization and repair General upkeep and trash removal Building Perform basic carpentry, painting and dry wall repair Fitness equipment repair and upkeep Assist with vendor and service company visits Monitor and help maintain the cleanliness of all areas Basic electrical Identify issues and report Help customers in need of customer service Miscellaneous Assist with special events setup and teardown Respond to emergency situations effectively Ensure a clean and organized work environment throughout each shiftPosition Requirements:
1-2 years of maintenance, trades, or facilities experience preferred Ability to lift 60 lbs. and stand six hours plus per day Safe handling of pool chemicals (training provided) Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to follow directions Ability to respond calmly and helpfully to members, guests, and staff First Aid/CPR, and CPO or AFO certification (or willingness to obtain) Have a high level of situational awareness regarding safe working practices Represent Old Town Hot Springs in a courteous and professional manner at all times What we offer:Compensation:
$25- 27 per hour
Schedule Available:
Thursday- Sunday 1:00 PM-9:30PM
- Full-time (Up to 34 hours per week), On-site, year-round position in Steamboat Springs
