The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, guest rooms, equipment, and common areas to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for guests and employees. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance issues. Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests. Conduct preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and building systems. Inspect rooms and facilities to identify maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain pools, grounds, lighting, doors, locks, fixtures, and other property equipment as needed. Assist with emergency maintenance situations and follow hotel safety procedures. Maintain accurate records of completed work and report major issues to management. Work with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required. Ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Requirements Previous hotel maintenance or facilities maintenance experience preferred. Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. HVAC, electrical, or other relevant technical certifications are a plus. Preferred Experience Previous experience working in a Hampton Inn or other hotel environment . Familiarity with hotel preventive maintenance programs. Experience working with commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems. Knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures.
