Job Description
Nesco Resource is looking for an Maintenance Technician located in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Shift:
Monday-Friday 11AM-6PM Pay:
$32-$35/hour depending on experiencePosition Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and electrical systems. This hands-on role is responsible for minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous production operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including motors, bearings, gearboxes, drives, pumps, and rotating equipment Diagnose electrical and control system issues involving sensors, relays, PLC I/O, HMIs, and low-voltage control circuits Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals Support equipment startups, shutdowns, repairs, and commissioning activities Assist with machinery upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance trends Respond to production equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime Work collaboratively with operators, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues Follow all safety procedures, electrical codes, and maintenance standards Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance support Qualifications Previous experience in an Electro-Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar maintenance role Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial electrical equipment Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with PLCs, control circuits, sensors, relays, and industrial automation systems Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex equipment issues Experience working with high-voltage equipment and low-voltage controls preferred Comfortable using diagnostic equipment, electrical meters, and hand/power tools Strong attention to safety and ability to work in a fast-paced industrial setting Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
