Job Description

Summary:
Perform general maintenance duties and assist with emergent weather conditions.
Reports To:
Facilities Supervisor, Director of Facility Services Titles Supervised:
N/A Shift/Hours:
3pm-11pm 37.5 hrs./week
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance. Handle basic repairs and maintenance. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them. Repair machines, equipment or structures as necessary. Work on ladders. Snow removal required. Perform jobs as required by work orders in a safe and timely manner. Assist in all emergency matters ranging from fire safety procedure to on call service. Willing to learn to operate different equipment such as snowplow, spreader and John Deere bucket loaders. Comply with all company safety regulations. Be able to perform with minimal supervision. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Trade School preferred or knowledge of the trade's equivalent to 4 years vocational school training
Experience:
1-2 years of related experience is required
Licensure:
CT State Motor Vehicle Driver's License Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively .
