Job Description

Our client, a leading specialty chemical manufacturing company , is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician in Danbury, CT .
Pay Rate Range:
$55,000
  • $70,000/year, depending on experience

  • 11:00 PM Additional shift differential included 3rd

Sunday
  • Friday, 10:30 PM
  • 7:00 AM Additional shift differential included
Responsibilities:
Assist with general maintenance, pipe cutting, preassembly, and installation of plumbing systems and components. Monitor production management systems to determine equipment operational status and identify system malfunctions. Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, design, and modify production equipment related to plumbing systems. Install, repair, and maintain chilled water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, and other industrial plumbing systems. Maintain and repair pumps, boilers, heaters, valves, traps, backflow prevention devices, and other plumbing components. Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of hot and cold water lines and building heating systems. Operate pipe-cutting and plumbing tools, including reamers, threading equipment, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes, and other applicable hand tools. Operate machine tools to fabricate parts and components when required. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems and equipment. Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery as needed. Maintain accurate equipment operational status records, maintenance logs, and documentation. Maintain proper care, safety, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and supplies. Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Stay current with technological developments, equipment, and systems related to the position. Perform additional maintenance and job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. 3+ years of directly related maintenance experience required. A related higher degree, technical certification, or plumbing-related license may substitute for experience. Hands-on experience with plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair . Knowledge of HVAC system maintenance and repair . Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, including pumps, boilers, heaters, valves, and other plumbing components. Ability to test, maintain, modify, and troubleshoot engineering equipment and industrial systems. Ability to assist with building and testing engineering or technical systems and components. Ability to read and follow technical instructions, equipment manuals, specifications, and related documentation. Ability to accurately document equipment status and prepare reports containing technical information. Proficiency using hand and power tools applicable to industrial maintenance and plumbing. Knowledge of equipment, supplies, ordering, and inventory control. Ability to safely operate forklifts and other heavy machinery is preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work safely and effectively in a chemical manufacturing environment.
