Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions on all types of factory machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, utilizing proper tools and equipment Install, adjust, disassemble, repair, and reassemble motors, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and other components. Review and interpret work orders, tie-ins, technical manuals, machine operations, and can communicate with production employees and management Develop maintenance procedures when documentation is not available and devise and make tools to facilitate work Perform regular preventative maintenance and work orders as part of daily activities and as assigned Able to use a computer to track, document equipment problems, submit/review, and close work orders, PMs, etc. Willing to work overtime based on business requirements Perform routine maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs and changing HVAC filters Maintain work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and OSHA Safety guidelines Abide by all company Programs and Policies related to Safety (GMP, Foreign Material Control, Housekeeping, Product Tampering, etc.) Abide by all personal hygiene rules (handwashing) Keep work areas and equipment clean Correct equipment malfunctions and complete all necessary records of work completed, including the maintenance log. Minimum Qualifications:
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems 420V on manufacturing or industrial equipment Experience with basic rigging using chain falls, hoists, and slings Use of common power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
in one or both of the following A strong ability in either fabrication of steel racks, carts, and other production support equipment Experience with electrical systems to include installing new circuits, running conduit, sizing, and pulling wire. Use MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques to repair structural metal, equipment frames/parts, railings, and brackets. Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures; inspect plumbing infrastructure to prevent water damage or system failure.
Requirements and Physical Demands:
Must be physically able to access all equipment Must be physically and mentally capable of working at heights up to 70 feet Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Must have mathematics ability and be able to use measuring equipment including but not limited to dial calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and depth gauges Must be able to read and communicate in both English written and verbal form to ensure safe and effective performance of the job, including the successful operation of the business. This job requires frequent stooping, bending, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, crouching, walking, and lifting. May require crawling and twisting Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes Follow all plant safety rules/policies Excellent attendance and positive attitude
